Undefeated in winning her first three starts, talented Sizzling filly Sizzling Belle took on stakes company for the first time in Canberra on Sunday and beat all bar the blue-blooded Godolphin colt Encryption in the Group III Black Opal Stakes.
The Nick Olive trained filly gave a great sight for Kathy O’Hara, working forward from gate one to lead and then fighting on gamely before going down by half a length to Encryption in the 1200 metre sprint.
Sizzling Belle has done a sensational job, her three wins and a second from four starts netting over $160,000 for her lucky group of owners.
A $50,000 Magic Millions National Yearling Sale purchase for her trainer from the Element Hill draft, Sizzling Belle is the third winner from stakes-placed Magic Albert mare Greenmount Belle.
She is the best winner to date for Snitzel’s Group I winning son Sizzling, who has four entries for the Magic Millions Adelaide Yearling Sale starting on Tuesday.
