Newgate Farm shuttler The Factor (USA) added two impressive winners to his tally at Keeneland in the US on Thursday with impressive victories for Bound for Nowhere and Youngest Daughter.
Owned and trained by Wesley Ward, exciting three year-old colt Bound for Nowhere was an easy debut winner at Turfway Park back in January.
He has obviously progressed well since then and looked super good when powering clear to win this five and a half furlong turf allowance by four and a quarter lengths at his second start.
A $310,000 Keeneland September purchase, Bound for Nowhere is a half-brother to stakes-placed Brinkley and is bred to go quick as his dam Fancy Deed is a half-sister to 2007 Champion US Sprinter Midnight Lute.
The Factor racked up a winning double later in the day when his three year-old filly Youngest Daughter broke through for her first win following a string of minor placings.
Trained by Victoria Oliver, she surged late to win the 1 and 1/16th mile maiden on turf by a length and a quarter.
Youngest Daughter is a half-sister to stakes-winner Annulment from a half-sister to Group I winner Centre Court.
Already the sire of a Group I winner in the US and three other stakes-winners, The Factor returns to Newgate this spring at a fee of $11,000 and has his first Australian runners in the new season.
