Talented Redoute’s Choice mare Auckland Beauty scored a bold front running win at Sandown on Wednesday to nail her first metropolitan victory providing a timely update for her yearling three-quarter sister headed to the 2016 Magic Millions Yearling Sale for Newgate Farm.
Prepared by Peter Moody, Auckland Beauty had been somewhat of a bridesmaid earlier in her career racking up six second placings, but with three wins from four starts this campaign she has clearly turned the corner.
She led all the way in the Benchmark 70 event over 1400 metres to win by a long neck and is racing with plenty of determination!
Auckland Beauty was bred by Teeley Assets and bought by Laurel Oak Bloodstock for $50,000 at the Inglis Broodmare Sale earlier this year.
She is the first foal of brilliant Group I placed and Group II winner Fritz’s Princess, who was bought by James Harron Bloodstock for $225,000 from the Teeley Dispersal in 2014.
She was in foal to Manhattan Rain at the time and the result of that mating, a filly, will be offered by Newgate Farm as Lot 253 at Magic Millions.
A daughter of champion sire More Than Ready (USA), Fritz’s Princess produced a filly by Newgate Farm’s exciting shuttler The Factor (USA) in October.
