Newgate Farm finished Book One at the 2016 Magic Millions Yearling Sale having sold 16 yearlings for $4,410,000 and we congratulate all buyers on their purchases and wish them all the very best of luck in the future.
Best result for Newgate was the stunning Fastnet Rock filly from Ten Carat Rock that made $1million on Saturday night when secured by Cloud 9 Thoroughbreds.
A $750,000 purchase from the Teeley Assets Dispersal in 2014, Ten Carat Rock has quickly recouped her purchase price and has a Pierro filly to follow.
Other great results for Newgate include the Fastnet Rock filly from El Laoob (USA) that made $550,000 to the bid of Thomas Li and a Sebring colt from Chordata that made $440,000 to the bid of Little Kwok Hing Hung/Bahen Bloodstock.
Our promising young sire Foxwedge celebrated his first winner with a debut success for talented filly Kentucky Miss at Warwick Farm last Thursday and his second crop of yearlings sold to a wide variety of buyers.
His best result was a colt from Sister Havana that made $180,000 for Coolmore when snapped up by South African buyer Adriaan Van Vuuren, while China Horse Club paid $150,000 for a colt from Hush Up consigned by Edinglassie Stud.
Next on the agenda for Newgate Farm is the 2016 Inglis Classic Yearling Sale in Sydney next month where we will offer nine youngsters.
