Outstanding sire War Front topped the sire averages (three or more sold) during Book One of the Keeneland September Yearling Sale, while his Newgate Farm based son The Factor (USA) also achieved pleasing results.
In the highly competitive market of Book One, The Factor had four yearlings average $US182,500, an amazing effort for a stallion coming off a $15,000 fee.
His best result came for a colt from Happy Scene that made $US310,000. A half-brother to Group I winner So Many Ways, he was bought by Shortleaf Stable.
Also selling well the half-sister to Group I winner Declassify from Mir Cat that made $US260,000 to the bid of McBros.
The Factor has big representation in Keeneland September Book Two which starts tomorrow.
