Progressive Hunter Valley breeding operation Newgate Farm is delighted to sponsor the $150,000 Listed ATC Breeders Plate (1000m) at Randwick this Saturday.
The first juvenile stakes race of the season for colts and geldings, the Breeders Plate has a unique history for producing commercial stallion prospects with past winners including Baguette, Luskin Star, Choisir, Charge Forward, Snitzel, Sebring, Real Saga, Smart Missile, Pierro and Vancouver.
“We are pleased to align ourselves with a race which encapsulates two important things in Australian breeding and racing – precocity and speed,” said Newgate Farm principle Henry Field.
“These are the same key characteristics we hold in high regard when selecting stallions for our Newgate roster.”
The 2015 Newgate Breeders Plate is scheduled as Race One at Randwick with a start time of 12.15 pm.
It has attracted a field of 11 runners and is as follows:
