The 2015 Magic Millions National Broodmare Sale concluded on Friday with Newgate Farm on top of the vendors by aggregate list selling 35 mares for a tick over $6million.
Our best results were achieved by million dollar mares Response ($1.5 million) bought by Katsumi Yoshida and Varenna Miss ($1million) bought by Emirates Park with Group I winner Rostova in foal to Frankel not far behind fetching $850,000 when bought by Tim Stakemire for Sheikh Bin Khalifa Al Maktoum.
Other interesting results included $165,000 paid for the young Flying Spur mare Flying Wedgetail in foal to our exciting young Northern Meteor stallion Eurozone. A sibling to stakes-winners Assertive Eagle Impressive Eagle and Soaressa, she was snapped up by Sheamus Mills Bloodstock/ Two Bays Farm.
Also $160,000 paid for Midnight Dancer in foal to Snitzel’s Group I winning son Sizzling in her first season at stud. A full sister to Group I placed Kimillsy, Midnight Dancer was bought by Jadeskye Racing.
We congratulate all successful purchasers and wish everyone the best of luck.
