Sixth Stakes-Winner for The Factor

Thursday, July 20, 2017

Newgate Farm’s stunning grey shuttler The Factor (USA) will have his first Australian runners next season and featured in the US on Thursday where his three year old filly Youngest Daughter snared Black Type when winning the $100,000 Ta Wee Stakes at Indiana Grand.

Trained by Victoria Oliver, Youngest Daughter dashed to the front and dictated terms before holding off all challengers to win the one mile feature on turf by a neck.

“I wasn’t expecting the lead today,” said winning rider Jon Court.

“I’ve watched enough of her races and she doesn’t have to be on the lead, but I chirped to her and she took off. She definitely brought her “A” game today. Even in the post parade I didn’t want to warm her up too much because I could tell Victoria (Oliver) had her ready to go.”

Youngest Daughter took a while to break her maiden, but has gone right on with it since then and now has the overall record of three wins and five placings from 11 starts with prizemoney topping $160,000.

A half-sister to stakes-winner Annulment from good producing Fusaichi Pegasus mare After Thought, Youngest Daughter is the sixth stakes-winner for The Factor.

A brilliant Group I winning son of champion sire War Front, The Factor returns to Newgate Farm this spring at a fee of $11,000.
