The inaugural Inglis Chairman’s Sale last month featured a select entry of quality weanlings that produced strong results for our red hot young sire Deep Field, the fastest son of Northern Meteor.
Deep Field sired the second highest priced weanling of the sale with his colt from Impetuous selling for $250,000.
Consigned by Newgate and purchased by Randwick Bloodstock, the colt is the second foal of young stakes-winning Fastnet Rock mare Impetuous.
A phenomenally fast son of Northern Meteor, Deep Field also had a colt from Uncommon fetch $180,000 for Newhaven Park when snapped up by David Lucas Bloodstock as agent for Phoenix Thoroughbred.
The good judges are awake to Northern Meteor, but watch this video to see just what makes this horse so special as his owner Alan Bell and trainer John Hawkes reveal their thoughts on the record breaking sprinter.
Fans of Deep Field will be spoiled for choice at the 2017 Magic Millions National Weanlign Sale where there are 32 of his stock catalogued for sale, click here to see them.
