Scoring an impressive debut victory at Morphettville on Saturday was two year-old Fastnet Rock filly Roomooz, a $480,000 Inglis Easter purchase from the draft of Newgate Farm for Sheikh Mohammed bin Khalifa Al Maktoum.
Trained by Tony McEvoy, Roomooz was a short priced favourite for the open juvenile event over 1000 metres and strode clear to defeat a pair of fillies by Fastnet Rock’s Group I winning son Your Song in Jolie Rose and Split Lip.
Bred by SF Bloodstock and foaled and raised at Newgate Farm, Roomooz is the first foal of Group II winning Testa Rossa mare Pane in the Glass.
Pane in the Glass has a yearling filly by Pierro that has been withdrawn from Magic Millions and produced a filly by Deep Field in 2016.
