Newgate Farm’s exciting grey speed machine The Factor (USA) has his first Australian foal on the ground with a filly born at Byerley Stud in the Hunter Valley.
The bay filly is also the first foal for her dam Xena Express, a placed half-sister by Danzero to brilliant Group III winning juvenile Our Joan of Arc.
“She was up and going in no time at all, one of the fastest foals I have seen get up and stand on all four legs after birth,” said Kelvin Williams of Byerley Stud.
“She is well conformed and agile, already running for fun. A great start for our young mare.”
A brilliantly fast, dual Group I winning sprinter by one of the world’s hottest stallions in War Front, The Factor impressed broodmare owners at the stallion parades last year with his eye-catching appearance.
A mass of rippling muscle under his sleek dapple grey coat, The Factor has an awesome sprinter’s physique.
He covered 115 mares last spring including the dam of current rising star three year-old sprinter Japonisme and returns this year at a fee of $16,500.
