Newgate Farm enjoyed outstanding results at the 2019 Inglis Classic Yearling Sale finishing as the leading vendor by aggregate for the second year in a row.
Newgate sold 33 yearlings for $3million to a broad range of buyers over the entire price spectrum providing an outstanding result for our clients.
Our best result came with a cracking Written Tycoon colt from Queenie that made $400,000 when snapped up by Blue Sky Bloodstock / Dream Thoroughbreds / Anthony Freedman / Bluegrass Bloodstock.
The colt was bred by SF Bloodstock and Queenie produced a lovely colt by Written Tycoon’s exciting son Winning Rupert last spring and is back in foal to him again.
“We bought the mare (Queenie, by Black Minnaloushe) to be mated with Winning Rupert, so it’s good to see a very positive result with this horse by, of course, his sire,” Henry Field told ANZ Bloodstock.
“Newgate and our clients are committed to meeting the market. Bruce Slade’s leadership and the huge effort of our entire team and the way in which they all conduct themselves – I couldn’t be more proud.”
We congratulate all buyers and wish everyone the best of luck going forward.
