A two year-old from the first crop of Tiger of Malay produced a big pinhook win at the Inglis Ready 2 Race Sale on Thursday when selling for $325,000.
Consigned by Rathosheen Bloodstock, the chestnut colt from Hazlebrook breezed in 10.88 seconds and was duly secured by BT / Pierre Ng / Campton Racing.
A three-quarter brother to Group III winner Wollombi, he was purchased as a yearling by Shane McGrath Bloodstock for just $75,000 from the Kingstar Farm draft at Magic Millions.
Hazlebrook has a yearling colt to follow by Tiger of Malay’s sire Extreme Choice.
The colt is now the highest priced horse from the first crop of Tiger of Malay, who stands at a fee of $11,000.
Brutal has had several smart winners in Hong Kong and Glenville Bloodstock were well rewarded for their gelding from Don’t Doubt Arthur that made $300,000 to the bid of Jim Carey purchasing for a HK Client.
He breezed in 10.40 seconds and is the third foal of Don’t Doubt Arthur, a winning sister to stakes-winner Bidii Babe.
He was a super successful pinhook sourced for just $21,000 from the Oaklands Stud draft at Magic Millions Book 2 by Greentree Racing/Jamie Piggott Bloodstock.
