Leading South Australian trainer Phillip Stokes already has one brilliant filly by Sizzling in Sizzlefly and appears to have another with That Girl racing to an impressive debut win at Morphettville on Saturday.
The two year-old jumped from the outside gate in the field of six and settled at the back of the field before charging home to win the 1050 metre scamper running away by a length and three-quarters as favourite
That Girl was a $70,000 Magic Millions purchase for her trainer from the Newgate Farm draft and was a successful pinhook having been bought by Newgate for $50,000 from the Inglis Great Southern Weanling Sale.
That Girl is a half-sister to stakes-placed Peristrophe and is the third winner from Glogirl, a half-sister by General Nediym to triple Group I winner Ortensia.
That Girl is the seventh two year-old winner this season for Sizzling, who stands at a fee of $11,000.
