Wild Ruler filly Face the Wild gave a good account of herself for Tony and Calvin McEvoy, dominating her 800m heat to win by nearly two lengths over Sword of State filly Torture with blueblood Home Affairs filly La Gitana in third place.
Face the Wild was a $150,000 Magic Millions purchase from Telemon Thoroughbreds for First Light Racing Pty Ltd/McEvoy Mitchell Racing/Belmont Bloodstock Agency and was a successful pinhook having been sourced from the Alma Vale/Kitchwin Hills Partnership, draft at the Inglis Weanling Sale for $55,000.
Profiteer was a brilliant juvenile in the Price Kent stable and they produced a heat winner for the speedy son of Capitalist in Commit.
He put the bob in right on the line for Damian Lane to score a head win.
