Newgate Farm’s exciting young shuttle sire The Factor added a new winner to his tally on the weekend with an easy victory for the Wesley Ward trained filly Silly Factor.
Third on debut, she improved at the second time of asking to race away and win the five and a half furlong maiden at Arlington by two and a half lengths.
Silly Factor is the first winner for Group III placed Find the Humour, a full sister to Group II winner Quick Wit.
A brilliant dual Group I winning son of War Front, The Factor has sired six first crop winners in the US and is back in Australia this spring at Newgate at a fee of $16,500.
