Newgate Farm’s proven performers Capitalist and Russian Revolution are powering to the end of the season and both sires produced four winners each on Saturday.
Capitalist took his seasonal tally to 161 winners with metropolitan success in Sydney for talented three year-old King of Rouseau and in Brisbane for two year-old Alpha Sofie, who is his 17th juvenile winner this season.
Trained by Peter Snowden, King of Rouseau has been a great money spinner for connections with his three wins and six placings from 17 starts netting his lucky owners over $720,000 in prizemoney.
The sire of seven stakes-winners this season (one in NZ), headed by his Group I winner Reserve Bank, Capitalist looms as exceptional value this spring at a fee of $44,000.
Russian Revolution has racked up 114 winners for the season and his Saturday winners included Flemington winner Lake Vostok and a new two year-old winner in Aligned, who scored at Gosford for the Peter Snowden stable.
Russian Revolution has also had a great season with six stakes-winners on the board headed by Group II winning mare Revolutionary Miss, who was sold this year at the Magic Millions National Broodmare Sale for $1.6million to Katsumi Yoshida.
Russian Revolution is also well priced this year at $33,000.
