Two blue-blooded fillies fought out the finish of a maiden event at Moe on Monday with the victor Prontezza becoming the first winner for a Group I winner and the runner-up a three-quarter sister to an Australian Horse of the Year.
Three year-old More Than Ready (USA) filly Prontezza scored by more than four lengths for the Robert Smerdon stable in the 10106 metre maiden.
Chasing her home in second place was three-year old Manhattan Rain filly Inspired Estelle, a three-quarter sister to champion sprinter Lankan Rupee.
A $550,000 Inglis Easter purchase for James Harron Bloodstock from the Newgate Farm draft Prontezza was bred by SF Bloodstock and runs for Fairway Thoroughbreds.

She is the first winner for Group I SAJC Robert Sangster Stakes winner Rostova.
Rostova was sent to the UK in 2014 by Newgate Farm for a service to Frankel and was sold at the 2015 Magic Millions National Broodmare for $850,000 to Tim Stakemire in foal to the unbeaten champion son of Galileo.
She produced a colt from that mating for Sheikh Mohammed Bin Khalifa Al Maktoum and is now in foal to Fastnet Rock.
