A speedy chestnut colt by Capitalist was among the highlights during the first session of the NZB Ready to Run Sale on Wednesday when purchased by Hong Kong based Mr. Wing Keung So for $550,000.
Consigned by Ohukia Lodge, the colt breezed in 10.40 seconds and is the first foal of well bred Dissident mare Madam Veuve, an unraced half-sister to Group winners Media, Timbourina and stakes-winner Cardinal Virtue.
Bred by SF Bloodstock, the colt was a successful pinhook having been bought by Ohukia Lodge from the Newgate draft at Inglis Classic for $190,000.
