Capitalist moved to 37 winners for the season with his progeny winning the first three races at Newcastle on Thursday with all of them being lightly raced progressive maiden winners.
The Bjorn Baker stable won the 900m maiden with 3YO Capitalist gelding Hayek and then Peter Snowden took the 1200m maiden with 4YO mare Maid of Moolah with John Sargent making it three winners in a row when stakes-placed 3YO filly Lady Pankhurst broke the ice over 1500m.
Placed in the Listed ATC Fernhill Mile at two, Lady Pankhurst was ridden by Rachel King showed her class to score a half length win over race favourite Columbus, a $1.5million son of Dundeel.
A $75,000 Magic Millions purchase from Segenhoe Stud for G & G Bloodstock Pty Ltd, Lady Pankhurst is the third winner from four foals to race from Group II winner Thunder Lady, who was also placed in the Group I VRC Oaks and ATC Vinery Stakes.
