The 2017 Inglis Classic Yearling Sale proved a resounding success for Newgate Farm with 100% clearance resulting in our 17 yearlings all being sold for a total of $1,480,000.
We finished as the third leading vendor by aggregate with a Fastnet Rock filly from Esprit de Bleu (USA) delivering our best result when fetching $230,000 to the bid of Matt Laurie Racing.
Not far behind was an I Am Invincible filly from Ardent Command that made $210,000 when bought by Proven Thoroughbreds/ Pride Racing.

Our proven sire Foxwedge had 16 yearlings sell for a total of $945,500, his top seller a filly from Anakalinka that made $135,000 for Grandview, Peak Crossing when bought by Richardson Racing.
First season sires Sizzling, The Factor (USA) and Eurozone all received a warm welcome, their progeny eligible for a $100,000 bonus next year paid to the purchaser of any of their offspring that can win the 2018 Inglis Classic race.
Sizzling had 18 yearlings average $62,583, his top seller a filly from Dandy Warhols that made $150,000 for Riversdale when bought by Gollan Racing Stables / John Foote Bloodstock.
The Factor enjoyed 100% clearance with seven yearlings averaging $51,429 with a filly from Celtic Sea his top seller when fetching $65,000 for Newgate when bought by Victorian trainer Mick Kent.
Eurozone had big numbers with 18 youngsters selling for up to $80,000, his best result coming with a colt from Winged Medusa that was offered by Carramar Park and bought by Horse Ventures Pty Ltd.
