Placed in her first four starts behind boom Tasmanian two year-old Aristopolos including twice in stakes races, Tiger of Malay filly Momentslikethese finally broke through for her first win on Wednesday.
Trained by Stuart Gandy, the filly was a short priced favourite at Launceston in the juvenile maiden over 1120m and duly ran out an easy winner franking the form of Aristopolos.
She raced clear to win by three and a half lengths and has won $78,750 in prizemoney.
A $40,000 Magic Millions Adelaide purchase for Prime Thoroughbreds from Willaroon Thoroughbreds, Momentslikethese was bred by Peachester Lodge.
She is the second winner from Group III placed Redoute’s Choice mare Mintha, a grand-daughter of Champion 2YO Hasna.
Tiger of Malay has 12 entries for the Magic Millions Gold Coast March Yearling Sale.
