Godolphin bought only one yearling from the 2024 Magic Millions Yearling Sale paying $250,000 for a filly by Extreme Choice and she made a winning debut at Wyong on Wednesday.
Trained by Joe Pride and ridden by Sam Clipperton, Maluku had won her previous trial going into this assignment, but was still expected to need the run going out at 7-1.
She never looked very comfortable on the tight Wyong track, but when she knuckled down to the task over the final furlong Maluku surged straight past her rivals to win by a long neck running away.
Impressive debut 3YO winner for Extreme Choice.

Bred by the Henderson family and foaled and raised at Newgate, Maluku is the third winner from three foals to race from Mistress Mace, a winning half-sister by Swiss Ace to Group II winners Eurozone and Miss Marielle, the dam of Group I ATC Coolmore Classic winner Peeping.
Mistress Mace had a colt last spring by Zousain and was then covered by Artorius.
