It was two new winners in two days for Wild Ruler when Queen Olympias saluted at the Gold Coast on Saturday following on from a hugely impressive win at Echuca on Friday for Myhro’s Ruler.
Trained by Chris Anderson, Queen Olympias was second on debut at Ipswich earlier this month and improved to score a tenacious neck win in the 1000m maiden.

Retained to race by her breeder Glenlogan Park in partnership, Queen Olympias is the first foal of stakes-winning Rich Enuff mare Plutocrat.
Glenlogan Park were well rewarded when her second foal, a colt by Stay Inside sold at Magic Millions this year for $330,000 to China Horse Club/Newgate Bloodstock.
Queen Olympias is the 12th first crop winner for Wild Ruler (11 in Australia and one in The Phillippines).
He is now second on the leading first crop sires list by winners to only Home Affairs and the G1 winning son of Snitzel looks great value this spring at a fee of $27,500.
