The leading sire of winners in Australia last season, Capitalist had one of the most impressive fillies at the officially Sydney trials on Monday, while Stay Inside had one of the fastest colts.
Peter Snowden trained Capitalist to win a Magic Millions 2YO Classic and Golden Slipper and he’s going to have some fun with flying filly Shezablaze, who led all the way to win easily by nearly three lengths in fast time.

“She hit the line nicely and is a quality filly,” said Peter Snowden after the trial.
“She’s very quick and has a tremendous attitude and that will take her a long way. It’s so important for young horses to accept everything and keep going forward and at the moment she keeps doing that.”
A $170,000 Magic Millions purchase from Alma Vale Thoroughbreds for her trainer, Shezablaze is bred to go fast and early being the first foal of Blazing Miss, who was third in the Group III ATC Widden Stakes and went on to win six races and nearly $500,000 in prizemoney.
Blazing Miss is a half-sister to the dam of brilliant juvenile Sejardan from a prolific Black Type family, so Shezablaze is running true to the pedigree at this point!
Bought by Newgate Bloodstock for $300,000 at the 2025 Inglis Chairman’s Sale, Blazing Miss has been a regular visitor to the Newgate sires and has a yearling colt by Tassort and was then covered by Extreme Choice.
Bjorn Baker and Rachel King combined to win a heat with Stay Inside colt Out of Bounds, who was super professional and won held together in fast time.
Baker has already had success with the progeny of Stay Inside thanks to flying filly Blue Door and this colt looks a natural 2YO.

“He’s a nice horse and was an expensive yearling from Magic Millions,” said Bjorn Baker.
“You always want to see them run well, but he still has a fair bit to learn and was green up the straight, so that gives us encouragement going forward and with Myracehorse involved there are plenty of owners in him.
“He has a good future I would hope and if he pulls up well will take his place in the Breeders Plate, but we will make sure he comes through this well first and foremost as there is no shortage of races.”
A $475,000 Magic Millions purchase from Corumbene Stud for MyRacehorse Pty Ltd/Bjorn Baker/Clarke Bloodstock Pty Ltd /Belmont Bloodstock Agency, Out of Bounds is the first foal of Giulia, a metro winning half-sister by I Am Invincible to G2 placed Bottega from brilliant Group II ATC Light Fingers Stakes winner Bennetta.
Giulia has a yearling colt by In the Congo and has already foaled this spring producing a full brother to Out of Bounds, so the team at Corumbene Stud will be hoping this guy can deliver the goods on race day.
