Earlier this year, Australian owner breeder Matthew Sandblom sent two Australian bred 2YO fillies by Extreme Choice to be trained in France by Francis Henri Graffard and the first to race Primetime Emmy is now a Group winner, while the second made a winning debut at Chantilly overnight.
Extreme Dream was sent out favourite for the 1200m contest for juveniles and won by half a length with Mickael Barzalona in the saddle.
She led and set the pace before giving a good kick which was enough to hold off the challengers led by Godolphin’s homebred Pinatubo filly Monday Cabaret.
Bred in Australia to NH time, Extreme Dream is the third winner from three foals to race from Sweet Bouquet and is a full sister to good Sydney metro winner Emirate, who made $1million as a yearling.
Sweet Bouquet is a winning half-sister by Dream Ahead (GB) to Group winners Santos and Melagrana, and to the dam of Group winners Profoundly and Sebonack.
Sweet Bouquet produced a filly by Extreme Choice last spring to SH time and was covered again by the champion Newgate sire in January this year.
A brilliant winner of the Group III Prix Eclipse (1200m) at Chantilly last month, Primetime Emmy is now headed to North America for the Group I Breeders Cup Juvenile Fillies Turf at the end of this month.
A 25% interest in Primetime Emmy will be offered two days before her expected start in the GI Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Fillies Turf during Keeneland’s Championship Sale at Castleton.
“I have had so much faith in Extreme Choice from the very beginning, and to be able to race his progeny on the biggest stage globally brings my vision to fruition,” Sandblom said.
“I am so excited to have Primetime Emmy competing at Keeneland in the Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Fillies Turf and look forward to sharing the journey well into the future with her successful buyer at the Championship Sale.”
The Championship Sale is held three days before the Breeders’ Cup World Championships on October 28 at the host track for the event.
The unique auction, which this year will be held at Castleton, features fractional interests in Breeders’ Cup contenders, stallion shares, breeding rights, elite broodmares, racing prospects and other rare offerings.
