Deep Field made his presence felt at the Magic Millions Book 2 Sale providing the equal highest priced yearling and leading the sire averages with six yearlings averaging $135,833, a sum well above the sale average of $60,268.
The sale-topper for Deep Field was Lot 1244, a colt from stakes-placed Freezethemillions consigned by Yarramalong Park and bought by John Morrissey.
He has had a big pedigree update as he is now a half-brother to this season’s star two year-old Alpine Edge, a two time stakes-winner and runner-up in the Magic Millions 2YO Classic last Saturday.
Extreme Choice also made a splash at this sale with a colt from Anabarbie selling for $220,000 to Kacy Fogden Racing, while a Winning Rupert colt from Smart Amelia made $160,000 when secured by Heinrich Bloodstock.
