Newgate were the leading vendor by aggregate at Magic Millions 2024 and are poised to make another big splash at the Gold Coast in 2025 with the release of the bumper catalogue this week featuring 63 of our very best yearlings.
Newgate is the second biggest vendor at the sale and our draft is a showcase for our power packed young sire roster which accounts for much of the draft.
The consignment features the following Newgate sires: Brutal (1), Capitalist (6), Deep Field (1), Extreme Choice (11), Russian Revolution (1), Stay Inside (13), Tiger of Malay (2) and Wild Ruler (4) – Click here to see our full draft.
Extreme Choice is only the second sire in history to produce a Golden Slipper winner and a Melbourne Cup winner and with only a limited number of his offspring presented for sale each year demand for them will be high.
Our draft includes Extreme Choice youngsters from Group I winning mares I Am a Star and Speak Fondly, plus Group winners Flying Ice (SAfr), Tempt Me Not and SW’s Foxy Housewife, Secret Liaison and Skate to Paris; also a half-sister to this season’s Group I placed colt Mayfair from US stakes-winner Cicatrix (USA).
Extreme Choice’s Golden Slipper winning son Stay Inside received outstanding support in his first season at stud and is the second most represented first season sire at Magic Millions with 43 yearlings, while Snitzel’s Group I winning sprinter Wild Ruler is also well placed to make an impact with 37 entries.
Stay Inside is also third most represented sire overall behind son and father duo Home Affairs and I Am Invincible, who also feature prominently in our draft with 10 by the former and three by the latter including the full brother to our exciting young sire King’s Gambit.
