Fourth in the Group I ATC Flight Stakes last spring to Apocalyptic, talented three year-old filly Enviable was always going to be a red hot favourite to break her maiden at Newcastle on Tuesday.

Frankel is one of the best stallions in the world and Chris Waller has already achieved G1 success with a daughter of the Juddmonte stalwart in Hungry Heart and while Enviable is now at the end of her three year-old season, Black Type may await this talented girl in the spring.

First up from a lengthy spell in the 1400m maiden after finishing second in the Group II MVRC Moonee Valley Fillies Classic last spring , Enviable had the services of Zac Lloyd and gave him an easy steer.

She jumped well and travelled smoothly behind the leaders and when asked to lengthen in the straight it didn’t take much encouragement for her to skip away and win by two and a half lengths eased down.

The trip to Newcastle was seen as a confidence building exercise for Enviable, who had placed in three of her previous six starts with four of those races being in Group company.

“She’s a very nice filly and hopefully this will give her that bit of confidence,” said Zac Lloyd.

“She will be a lot better when she can find herself in a high pressure race.”

Bred by SF Bloodstock and foaled and raised at Newgate, Enviable was an $825,000 Magic Millions purchase from Newgate for Waller Racing/Mulcaster Bloodstock and is the first foal from Group I placed import Boujie Girl (USA).

A half-sister by Tapit stallion Flashback to Group I winner Super Stock, Boujie Girl has an unraced Extreme Choice 2YO filly called Lux in the Waller stable and had a yearling filly by Artorius sell at Inglis Easter this year for $200,000 to Cambridge Stud.

Boujie Girl has a colt to follow by Extreme Choice and was covered by him again last year.
