Astute trainer Matt Hoysted produced Tiger of Malay filly Apex Predator to win at Doomben on Saturday and on Sunday he got the cash with a talented 2YO by another of the young Newgate sires, Stay Inside.
Drawn wide and easy in the market, Quick Release was taken back by Jag Guthmann-Chester, but when angled into clear running after turning for home he let down with a big sprint to charge home and win the 1200m maiden by a head on the line.
