Hong Kong Winner Sold by Newgate
Paul O’Sullivan and Joao Moreira combined to win at Sha Tin on Sunday with lightly raced Commands gelding Who Else But You, a $180,000 Magic Millions purchase for the HKJC from the draft of Newgate Farm.
An unlucky fourth when making his debut last month, Who Else But You rebounded quickly to lead throughout and win over 1200 metres by a length and a quarter despite drawing the outside gate.
Who Else But You is the first winner for Laurinel Princess, a half-sister to Group I winner Palace Line and Group II winner Laurinel Argie.
Newgate Farm have another outstanding draft for the 2016 Magic Millions Yearling Sale in January with 22 lotshighlighted by a three-quarter brother in blood to Hong Kong International contender Criterion.
Listed as Lot 698, he is by Criterion’s sire Sebring from Group II winning Redoute’s Choice mare Varenna Miss.
